What do you think when you look at hibiscus flowers? Tropical beaches, warm breezes, and fruity drinks? It sounds natural that hibiscus is the national flower of Malaysia and the state flower of Hawaii.  Add a touch of tropics in your home with this gorgeous Chigiri-e motif!

Balloon flowers earned their name from their balloon-like buds as depicted in this Chigiri-e motif. They open to show lovely little star-shaped flowers in blueish purple color. Use the color gradient of the Washi paper wisely to express the petals that are connected together at the base.
